God Knows You Personally
Throughout the Bible, we see the phrase, “The Lord your God”. Have you ever really thought about what that means? There are billions of people on the earth now and so there have been tens of billions since creation. Yet God is the God who knows every one of them personally. If you accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior, He is the Lord YOUR God. Not just a God, or some God. NO. He is the Lord YOUR God.
He knows everything about you (And still loves you). He knows the number of hairs on your head (Or the lack thereof – sorry bald guys – bad joke). He knows every cell, every molecule, every muscle, every bone, and every pimple and mole. He also knows every emotion, feeling, and impulse you have. He knows every temptation that you face and every anxious thought that you have.
The Bible says in Proverbs 56:8 about God – “You (God) keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” God knows and records every tear that you shed. He knows when you are crying broken-hearted tears and when you are crying tears of joy. He knows when you are close to Him and when you are far away. And He never stops loving us.
It blows my mind to think that the Creator of the universe knows me personally and still wants to have a relationship and fellowship with me. In keeping the whole universe going and billions of other people, how can He know and even care for a little speck of dust like me? It is because He made us in His image and when we accept His plan of salvation we are His children. We are adopted into His royal family and He has his eye upon our every movement.
The question is – Do I know Him personally? Have I made knowing and loving Him the most important thing in my life? The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these (other) things will be added to you.” And in Matthew 12:31-32, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength”. That is how we get to know the One who knows us best and loves us more than anyone here on Earth ever can.
God will never stop loving us but we must live under His authority and obey His commandments in order to keep our fellowship with Him. When He lives inside of you, He can guide and protect you in ways that you don’t even know about. The Bible says that we, His children, are the “apple of His eye”. He wants a personal relationship with each one of us. How awesome is that? I pray that you will make Him the Lord YOUR God and allow Him to be in control of your life. It will make all the difference in this world and for all eternity.
